Advent candles
10” colonial style taper advent candles. Set of 4
Burn time for each taper candle: 14 hours
Proper candle care:
- To prevent dripping, keep away from open windows, fans or excessive airflow of any kind and place your hand behind flame when blowing out
- Another trick to prevent dripping for taper candles is to NOT trim the burnt wick before re-lighting. The long curled wick that you find should be lit as is. This is different from all other candle styles that do benefit from regular wick trimming.
Beeswax may have health benefits
Beeswax candles release negative ions into the air while burning. This helps clean the air by eliminating dust, odors and mold in the air.
Negative ions not only cleanse the air, but are also known to boost levels of serotonin, our body’s natural “feel good” hormone. This helps alleviate depression, relieve stress, and also boost our daytime energy!
What is “Bloom”?
If you notice a whitish coating on your candle and are wondering what that is, this is called “bloom”. This naturally happens with beeswax. It is a sure sign of a pure beeswax candle! Bloom is the result of softer oils rising to the surface. Rubbing the candle with a soft cloth will remove the bloom. Once removed, bloom will again reappear on pure beeswax overtime. Bloom has no effect on how your candle will burn.
